“Love Is In the Air”

✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽 Happy Black History Month ✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

Do you feel the resilience that Martin Luther King, Jr. felt type of love?

Or did you have to deal with the triumphs of a Nelson Mandela to appreciate a humanity type of love?

Did you suffer the humility of a Rosa Parks refusing to get out of the seat and get arrested type of love?

Or do you understand what it feels like to buy your freedom like Denmark Vesey type of love?

Do you use your love for math to send people to the moon like Katherine Johnson type of love?

Have you ever felt the success and love of running a successful TV show like Oprah Winfrey….or win Oscars like Halle Berry

Can we sing “Rock With You” and understand the rhythm type of love from Michael Jackson…

Or be serenaded with love to the smooth sounds of the famous trumpeter Louis Armstrong

Have you ever loved the dynamic sister-duo of Venus and Serena Williams on the tennis court aiming high for their victories at Wimbledon

Are we inspired by the poetry of a Maya Angelou type of love…or entertained by the African folklore of a Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Do we have the inner love of a Desmond Tutu for all creeds, colors and shapes…

And do we achieve our love for a nation as the first African American President Barack Obama type of love…

Black History should not only be celebrated for one month.  Year-round, everyday, we should be PROUD of all our accomplishments and achievements… OUR love is in the air.
